Today, streaming platforms have become the main way for the general public to access and enjoy music. However, the development of digital technology also involves challenges such as fair revenue sharing in the value chain, the protection of cultural diversity and the virtuous use of AI. European policies in support of CCIs are essential to ensure an equitable and diverse music market development. We will analyze some of the latest initiatives, such as the copyright directive in the digital single market, the European Parliament’s report on music streaming in Europe or the future Artificial Intelligence Regulation and we will address other issues still pending
