Member of the European Parliament since 2009.
Coordinator of the EPP Group in the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) as well as deputy member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) and the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO).
Areas of expertise: Artificial intelligence (AI), European data protection, European copyright.
