FOSBO, Executive Director
Cultural manager, producer, musician, violinist and stage director. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Music of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, of the Faculty of Finance and International Relations of the Universidad Externado and of the Diploma in Creative Writing of the Instituto Caro y Cuervo. She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Creation and Stage Direction at the Universidad del Valle. He was part of the Cultural Policies and International Cooperation Group of the Ministry of Culture and worked in the Symphonic Subdirection of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota. He also served as Coordinator of the Alliances Group of Idartes. Since 2008, he is co-founder and Executive Director of the Fundación Orquesta Sinfónica de Bogotá (www.fosbosinfonica.org), an organization whose purpose is related to the promotion of classical music through the development of projects that explore new concert formats and the use of unconventional spaces for the creation of interdisciplinary experiences in chamber, symphonic and choral music. Among the foundation’s most important projects are the flashmob “Vivificar”, performed for the Missing Persons Unit; the immersive concerts for fulldome and chamber ensemble “Música del cosmos” and “David Bowie, un viajero interstelar”, premiered at the Bogota Planetarium; the symphonic seasons and the great year-end concert at the Cafam Theater; the Classical Circuit concert series at Compensar; the Nuevas Voces Festival; the “Serenata Colombiana” tours in Germany and Poland and the Hayuelos Music Festival. In 2018, he devised and was General Producer of the operatic farce “”El bosque sobre el bosque, las sombras de Humboldt“”, a work directed by Alejandro Gonzales and Ma Zhengong with music by Daniel Velazco, and winner of the Idartes large format creation award. In 2023, he premiered his first work as stage director at the Teatro Colón, “El bosque blanco”, written for orchestra, dancers and actors, with music by C. Saint-Saëns, A. Vivaldi, A. Montero and D. Shostakovich. As a violinist, he trained with Gustavo Kolbe, Antonia Kapitanova, Fabio Santana, Frank Preuss, and Krasimira Vasseva. He was winner of the Young Talents Series of the Banco de la República with the Trio L`epoque. He has been a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bogotá. In 2015 he published with the writers collective N36, the work “Alteraciones”, winner of the Editorial Creation Grant from the Ministry of Culture of Colombia.
