Open call for BIME Bilbao 2024 for Catalan artists and bands!

BIME joins Catalan Arts and launches an open call for 3 Catalan soloists or bands.

They will have the opportunity to showcase their talent to festival programmers, managers, journalists and other music industry players. In addition, those selected will also have the opportunity to participate in the three days of the congress programme, where they will be able to learn, interact with people from all areas of the music industry and discover the latest trends in the sector.

Bases of the call:

1. Musical proposals, artists and/or bands from Catalonia or with fiscal domicile in Catalonia.
2. To be of legal age.

4. Open call from 22 May 2024 until 6 June 2024 at 23:59 hours.
5. The selection of the bands will be made by the BIME programming area and Catalan Arts will be in charge of dissemination once the proposals selected to participate have been confirmed.
6. Three slots available.
7. Includes the performance of 1 showcase per artist/band in the framework of BIME Bilbao 2024, to be held in Bilbao (Basque Country) between 29 October and 1 November 2024.
8. BIME will assume the production costs of the showcase (room, lighting and basic sound equipment, PA, technical staff and basic backline that will be shared) and the artists’ dinner/catering. The basic backline will be confirmed by the organisation according to the line-up/band. All backline extras must be covered by the band/institution (in no case will in ears be included).
9. In addition to the participation in the showcases, the selected proposals will be able to benefit from accreditations giving access to the programme of the professional event.
10. The selected proposals undertake to attend and cover the costs associated with travel and accommodation that are not covered by the organisation. Bands will receive a travel contribution of €250 per band. BIME will not pay any fees to the artists for their participation.
11. In order to guarantee the opportunity to perform at BIME, the bands that apply must have a management or booking agency.
12. The results of the call will be communicated to all applicants via e-mail.
