Open call for BIME Bilbao 2024 for Portuguese artists and bands!
BIME joins the Portuguese Embassy in Spain and WhyPortugal and launches an open call for 2 solo artists or bands from Portugal.
They will have the opportunity to showcase their talent to festival programmers, managers, journalists and other music industry players. In addition, those selected will also have the opportunity to participate in the three days of the congress programme, where they will be able to learn, interact with people from all areas of the music industry and discover the latest trends in the sector.
Bases of the call:
- Artists and groups must be resident in Portugal.
- Be of legal age.
- The application will only be valid via the open call form.
- The call will be open from Thursday 27 June at 16:00h CET until Thursday 11 July at 23:59h CET.
- The selection of the groups will be made by BIME. Embassy of Portugal and Why Portugal will support the promotion of the events once the proposals selected to participate have been confirmed.
- With the support of the Portuguese Embassy in Spain, two slots are available.
- Includes 1 showcase per artist/band at BIME Bilbao 2024, to be held in Bilbao (Spain) from 29 October to 1 November 2024. BIME will assume the production costs of the show (venue, basic lighting and sound equipment, PA system, technical staff and basic backline).
- In addition to the participation in the showcases, the artist/band will be able to benefit from accreditations giving access to the professional event programme and dinner/catering on the night of the showcase.
- The selected artists/bands undertake to attend and to cover the associated travel and accommodation expenses not covered by the organisation.
- BIME will not pay any fees to artists for their participation.
- The results of the call will be communicated to all applicants via email.
