[CLOSED] Open call for BIME Bilbao 2023!

BIME joins Initiative Musik and launches an open call for three German soloists or bands.

From October 25th to 28th, you will have the opportunity to show your talent to festival programmers, managers, journalists and other agents of the music sector. In addition, the three selected projects will also have the opportunity to participate in the three days congress programming, where they can learn, interact with people from all areas of the music industry and discover the latest trends in the sector.

Bases of the call:

1. Artists and bands need to be based in Germany.
2. Be of legal age.
3. The application will only be valid through the open call form.
4. The call will be open from Thursday 1st of June at 12:00h to Friday 30th of June at 23:59h.
5. The selection of the bands will be made by BIME, and Initiative Musik will support the promotion of the acts once the proposals selected to participate have been confirmed.
6. There are three showcase slots available.
7. Includes 1 showcase per artist/band in the framework of BIME Bilbao 2023, to be held in Bilbao (Spain) between the 25th and 26th of October 2023. BIME will assume the production costs of the showcase (venue, lighting and basic sound equipment, PA, technical staff and basic backline).
8. In addition to the participation in the showcases, the band will be able to benefit from accreditations that give access to the programming of the professional event, as well as hotel accommodation for one night (maximum 3 twin rooms per project) and dinner/catering on the night of the showcase.
9. The selected artists/bands undertake to attend and cover the associated costs of travel and further accommodation that are not covered by the organization. However, artists can apply for support through Initiative Musik’s international tour funding program.
10. BIME will not pay any fees to the artists for their participation.
11. The results of the call will be communicated to all applicants via email.
