León Benavente
León Benavente was born in 2012 from the union of some of the most renowned and veteran musicians of the national scene; Abraham Boba (vocals and keyboards), Eduardo Baos (bass and synthesizers), Luis Rodríguez (guitar) and César Verdú (drums). With their first eponymous album, León Benavente (Marxophone, 2013), they needed very little time to be placed on the billboards of the main festivals and fill venues in our country, in addition to crossing the pond.
In April 2016 their second album, 2 (Warner Music), was released, a work with which ‘los leones’ toured for a year throughout the country, hanging in most of the concerts the “sold out” sign, in addition to playing several times in Latin America.
In September 2019 came Vamos a volvernos locos (Warner Music), with which they entered the number 1 of iTunes the day of its release and that same week was the second best-selling album in the country. The month of the release of this new work they started an unstoppable tour in which they sold out most of the dates. In addition to cities all over the country, they also presented these new songs in Mexico and Portugal.
In January 2022 they presented ERA. An album that speaks of the end of things and new beginnings and with which they toured halls, theaters, festivals and cycles throughout the country.
Last fall (2023) they did a tour of ten unique concerts to celebrate their ten years as a band, playing their first album in its entirety, as well as some other surprises in many of the venues where they debuted when they presented their first songs live.
This 2024 they publish NUEVA SINFONÍA SOBRE EL CAOS, a short and direct work, classic songs in structure but brave and risky in form, powerful and danceable, hedonistic and, at the same time, reflective. A set of voices and instruments, rhythms and textures that represent for León Benavente the symphony of a new time in which it seems that living fast is the only solution to a constant unknown.
They will present this new album on an extensive tour of Spain and will also cross the pond again, visiting several Latin American countries.
