Idoia
IDOIA, born in Aramaio (Alava), became in 2021 one of the biggest surprises of the music scene in the Basque Country.
With only 21 years old, his first work “Ilun eta abar”, contained 7 songs that transmitted an incredible maturity built with contemporary architecture, but with the aroma of the classics. Wonders like “aulki jokoa”, “munstroa” or “viejo refranero”, fearlessly mixed roots, folk, pop or bossa nova.
With this letter of introduction, he toured large stages and completed a tour with more than 60 concerts throughout the Basque Country, Madrid, Catalonia and Aragon.
Now, after 18 months without news of her, she appears by surprise with “de amar y desandar”. A magnificent, personal album, a call to life in the form of a sonorous letter.
In “de amar y desandar” she wants to transmit her experiences, her memories in these months, where she has grown, like a flower in a desert, from the fragility, but always with a positive look towards the future. She has been wandering only to rescue images and sensations and to set them to music for this future album. Stills in super 8, developed organically, between chemical liquids, something that seems to preside over the sound of the album.
Recorded at Dany Richter’s El Lado Izquierdo Studios, and produced by Sergio Valdehita and Carlos Sosa, the organic, acoustic sound, with earth and valve flavor, presents us with great melodies led by the piano. But many nuances, accordions, double basses, winds, strings…
