DIANA BURCO
Diana Burco is a Colombian artist, singer-songwriter and accordion player. From a very young age she has been close to traditional musics, this deep cultural fluidity and her own contemporary explorations has established her as one of the most important rising contemporary Latin American artists, her first album, “Diana Burco” was nominated for Best Cumbia / Vallenato Album at the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards, making her the first woman to be nominated in the history of Vallenato. Río abajo, his second album, was nominated for Best Contemporary Tropical Album at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.
Diana Burco has participated in programs and platforms around the world such as SXSW 2023, Ambassador EQUAL 2023 by Spotify, One Beat Colombia, Ethno World, MAPAS (South Atlantic Performing Arts), Circulart 2023, BOMM 2022, Her debut tour in the United States took place in March 2022 and included shows at venues such as; Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Kravis Center, Joe`s Pub, The Mahaiwe, Savannah Music Festival, among others.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated as a singer-songwriter, performer, producer and actress with artists such as: Lupita Infante, Georgy Parra, Erika Vidrio, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, Israel Romero, Salvador Aponte, Silvestre Dangond, Aida Bossa, Maria Elisa Camargo, Carmelo Torres, Los Cumbia Stars, Dany Garces, Los Rolling Ruanas, Kombilesa Mi, among others.
In 2023 he releases his third album “KARMA” with the Colombian label Codiscos, produced by Georgy Parra. This album opens a new musical path to what Diana has called “Cumbiecitas Elegantes” and features collaborations with Lupita Infante, Los Cumbia Stars, Alessia y Vambina, El Meke and CERO 39.
