In an industry where independent music is looking for new ways to connect with global audiences, KEXP has established itself as an essential platform for the international projection of emerging artists. Its Spanish-language programme, El Sonido, celebrates 15 years as a loudspeaker for diverse scenes and a bridge between musical cultures. To celebrate, Albina Cabrera (KEXP) will record live a special edition of the podcast with one of the main voices of Ibero-America, in a conversation that will explore their careers, concerns and musical imaginaries through the songs that have marked their lives. In addition, a premiere announcement will be made about the Live on KEXP sessions, one of the most influential formats in global music.
