BIME CULMINATES ITS ELEVENTH EDITION IN BILBAO, CONSOLIDATING ITS POSITION AS THE MUSIC INDUSTRY’S PREMIER EVENT
BIME has gathered in its professional part, BIME PRO, more than 3,000 professionals per day, with an accumulated total of more than 4,500 people.
For its part, BIME LIVE has brought almost a hundred concerts, showcases and DJ sets to 10 venues and two outdoor stages in the city from Wednesday to Saturday.
The meeting continues to work on building bridges between Europe and the Americas with a new edition, to be held May 8-11 in Bogota, Colombia.
BIME consolidates, in this eleventh edition in Bilbao, as the main international meeting of the Spanish-speaking music industry, and the perfect space to co-create the future of the cultural and creative industries, highlighting the importance of this sector for economic and social development.
More than 250 voices from the industry shared their vision on the present and future of the sector, with the participation of companies, associations, institutions, artists, applicants, media, and professionals from all over the world, and with a wide and diverse 3-day program at the Euskalduna Palace, where more than 3,000 people a day have enjoyed lectures, masterclasses, workshops, presentations and intense networking days at BIME PRO.
In addition, BIME has brought live music once again to the city with BIME LIVE, which has highlighted a large influx of public, completing capacity in a large number of rooms. Four days with almost a hundred showcases, concerts and DJ sets with free access, where both industry professionals and the general public have had the opportunity to discover the talents of the future and the most avant-garde proposals of the moment, in a clear commitment to democratize access to culture.
The venues Kafé Antzokia, Back Room, Bilborock, Cotton Club, Crystal, Dock, La Ribera, Muelle, Rocket and Stage Live, have received national and international artists, such as: Briela Ojeda, Afrosound, or Maréh, from Colombia; Masta Quba from Mexico; the Cubans Wampi and Rodrigo Sosa; Portuguese Soluna and Ana Luna Caiano, Cancamusa, Soulfía and Benjamin Walker from Chile, and nationals Sara Socas, Grande Amore, Berta Garrido, Los Voluble, Chill Mafia, Amore, Júlia Colom and Ralphie Choo, among many others.
