BIME TURNS BILBAO INTO THE EPICENTER OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
From October 25 to 28, BIME will bring together more than 250 experts and institutions to discuss artificial intelligence, synchronization, sustainability and connections between territories.
BIME LIVE will bring, during four days, more than 50 showcases and free concerts to the venues and streets of Bilbao.

BIME is one of the unmissable events on the international cultural and economic agenda. After 10 editions in Bilbao and a successful second edition in Bogota, it arrives once again in the Biscayan capital to turn the city, for five days, into the the epicenter of the Spanish-speaking music industry bringing together professionals from Europe and the Americas at a meeting where dialogue will be the way to strengthen the cultural and creative industries from both continents.
This new edition is divided into two main sections: BIME PROthe congress aimed at the professional public, which will take place at the Palacio Euskalduna from Wednesday to Friday and will feature about a hundred panels in the more than 250 professionals from all over the world will participate.; y BIME LIVEthe programming that will fill with live music the city’s outdoor venues and stages with more than 50 free access showcases.from Wednesday to Saturday.

Reaffirming the commitment to promote responsible and sustainable practices, BIME seeks to foster a dialogue on sustainability in the industry with participants such as Lluís Torrents (ES), from Sala Razmatazz, or Fernando Bigeriego (ES), Head of the Support Unit of the General Directorate of Cultural Industries, Intellectual Property and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Spain.
Likewise, we continue to work hard to achieve a more egalitarian and inclusive industry through the BIME MUSIC EQUILITY FORUM. This edition will feature three important awards ceremonies. The already known FEST AWARDSThis year they are celebrating their 10th anniversary, where the work and creativity of the professionals responsible for the development of the Music Festivals held in Spain are awarded. BIME EQUITY AWARDS from Amazon MusicThe event, which recognizes female and LGTBIQ+ talent by awarding prizes to people who stand out for their career and future projection as well as their social commitment, will include the artist Samantha Hudsonand, for the first time, the MUSIC MOVES EUROPE AWARDS, recognition to the emerging European talent that have received artists such as Mumford & Sons, Dua Lipa, Zaz or Stromae, among others, and that seeks to promote the artists with greater projection in Europe.

BIME LIVE will once again bring live music to the heart of Bilbao, flooding the city with music for 4 days, from Wednesday 25th to Saturday 28th October. A wide variety of showcases will take place in the main halls and open-air stages, with a program to discover the talents of the future and the most avant-garde proposals of the moment.
More than 50 showcases by artists from the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Italy, Estonia, Portugal, Canada, Spain, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, Paraguay and Ecuador, and with a wide representation from the Basque Country, Navarra, Andalusia, Catalonia, Balearic Islands, Aragon, Galicia, Valencia and more. An opportunity to enjoy a great diversity of musical styles, such as tropical rock from Afrosound (CO), the harmony between Portuguese folklore and electronic music from the hands of Ana Lua Caiano (PT); colors, rhythms and melodies of the Andean music with Briela Ojeda (CO); jungle, house, bruk and jazz sensibilities with Divorce From New York (EUS); pop, rock and roll and techno from the 80’s with Grande Amore (CO); electronica, pop, Ecuadorian tradition and symphonic music with LaTorre (EC); or the more urban panorama with the rapper Masta Quba (MX) and Lia Kali (ES); the reggaeton of Soulfia (CL) and Wampi (CU); or the alternative sounds of Los Eclipses ( MX); and of manna (EE), which will be present under the umbrella of the European Keychange program.

In its eleventh edition in Bilbao, BIME continues to consolidate its position as the most relevant internationalization node for music between Latin America and Europe.
