Juanita Añez:
Singer-songwriter from Bogota who has become known within the field of avant-garde popular music with her musical groups “”Bituin“” and “”Las Áñez“”.
She has participated in important music festivals in America and Europe, and has won several awards for composition, interpretation and international circulation.
Juanita’s songs have been interpreted by outstanding musicians such as Marta Gómez, Kevin Johansen, Andrea Echeverri, Edson Velandia, El Cholo Valderrama, Lido Pimienta and La Muchacha.
In his six main recordings with his sister Valentina, he highlights composition, vocal experimentation, two-voice work, arrangements and the fusion between folklore and contemporary music.
The vocal music composed for Rubén Mendoza’s film Niña Errante received the Taillin Music Festival Award in Estonia in 2018.
Recently was released the music they made for three national and international audiovisual projects: NOSOTRAS (incidental music for the Colombian documentary), CIENTA AÑOS DE SOLEDAD (songs for the teasers of the Netflix series) and LA LIBERACIÓN (covers and cameo for the Mexican Prime Video series).
