Laura Guevara is a multifaceted artist born in Caracas and based in Mexico City since 2017, who has become a unique voice within contemporary Latin American music. A singer, songwriter, producer and audiovisual producer, she fuses Latin American genres with pop and folk, creating an eclectic and deep sound that has been categorized by music journalists as urban folk and pop fusion.
In her lyrics she addresses issues of empowerment, resilience, love and heartbreak, mental health, self-love and migration, achieving a genuine emotional connection with her audience.
Laura has established herself as a powerful voice since her beginnings in the music scene. At the 2015 Pepsi Music Awards, she won the Pop Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Pop Song of the Year for her hit “Late”, and Video of the Year with “Late”, standing out as the most nominated artist with a total of 7 nominations.
Her career has taken her to international stages, captivating audiences in Germany, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Spain and other countries. Her concerts are complete experiences: an explosion of energy, theatricality and authenticity where each performance becomes an emotional journey. Laura released her first live album, En Vivo (2013), followed by her first studio album, Laura Guevara (2016). Her most recent production, Del Amor y Otras Sustancias (2024), where she explores the emotional journey from toxic love to self-love. Also in December 2024 she released “Luna Decembrina” a Christmas album full of joy and nostalgia.
In addition to her impact in music, Laura is an activist committed to social causes and equity. In 2017, she was recognized as an emissary of conscience by Amnesty International and in 2023 she was invited to give a TEDx talk on migration and music as a tool for resilience.
Laura is a voice with a distinct Latin American identity that blends tenderness and strength to convey powerful and universal messages. With collaborations with Masta Quba, Okills, Rodrigo Solo, Vitálico and others, Laura continues to expand her influence and show the power of music as a means of transformation, empowerment and healing.
