BAD TOMATO
Bad Tomato’s commitment to authenticity and creativity is evident in every aspect of their project. A fusion of danceable grooves and post-punk energy, the Lisbon-based band is founded on a lifelong friendship when filmmaker Manuel Casanova, known for his decade-long career touring with major artists joins experienced drummer Jantonio Silva (Huggs, Hause Plants), enlisting their lifelong friend Miguel Albino to complete the trio.
Collaborating with producer Guilherme Correia (Hause Plants) and drawing inspiration from real-life events, Bad Tomato just finished production on their debut EP. With three singles out, the band quickly gained traction on Portuguese radio, online media and streaming playlists. Building a strong visual identity with singular music videos starring well established actors, Bad Tomato’s online presence is thriving. This kind of attention earned Bad Tomato an invitation to play their debut concert at Blood Red Shoes’ 20th anniversary show, to a sold-out audience in Berlin. The performance will be followed by a short European run ending in Lisbon for Bad Tomato’s first hometown gig.
With shows booked across Europe and building a strong online community, Bad Tomato is poised to make a lasting impact on the alternative music scene.
