Open call for BIME Bilbao 2024 for artists and bands from Germany!

BIME joins forces with GERMAN MUSIC EXPORT by Initiative Musik and launches an open call for 3 German solo artists or bands.

Those selected will showcase their talent in front of festival programmers, managers, journalists and other music industry professionals. In addition, they will be able to attend the three-day BIME congress, where they will learn, connect with experts from various fields and discover the latest industry trends.

Bases of the call:

1. Artists and groups must be based in Germany.
2. Be of legal age.
3. The application will only be valid through the open call form: https://forms.gle/khi9YuWJF4akMNAW7
4. The call will be open from Wednesday, May 29th at 15:00h until Wednesday, June 19th at 23:59h.
5. The selection of the bands will be made by BIME, and GERMAN MUSIC EXPORT will support the promotion of the acts once the proposals selected to participate have been confirmed.
6. There are three places available for the showcase.
7. Includes 1 showcase per artist/band at BIME Bilbao 2024, to be held in Bilbao (Spain) between October 29 and November 1, 2024. BIME will assume the production costs of the show (venue, basic lighting and sound equipment, PA system, technical staff and basic backline).
8. In addition to the participation in the showcases, the band will be able to benefit from accreditations that give access to the programming of the professional event, as well as hotel accommodation for one night (maximum 3 twin rooms per project) and dinner/catering on the night of the showcase.
9. The selected artists/bands undertake to attend and cover the associated costs of travel and further accommodation that are not covered by the organization. However, artists can apply for support through Initiative Musik’s international tour funding program.
10. A representative of each selected artist/group will participate in a pitching session organized by GERMAN MUSIC EXPORT at BIME and present the act to the international audience.
11. BIME will not pay any fees to the artists for their participation.
12. The results of the call will be communicated to all applicants via email.
