The Colombian band Lost Tropic, formed by Camilo Rivera of Sin Animo de Lucro and Consulado Popular, along with Camilo Donado of Vertical Valley, is pleased to announce the release of the album
their new single titled “Danza Ne”.
This innovative project features the collaboration of Jhonpri of Systema Solar and represents a fresh and unique reinterpretation of the classic “Danza Negra” by Lucho Bermudez. Through the musical magic of Lost Tropic, the song takes on a new life, fusing small fractions of the original work with contemporary elements of rap, chantéos and Caribbean music, resulting in a
completely new genre called “Cumbia Brava”. Camilo Rivera, member of the band, expressed: “””” We ventured to mix the essence of Lucho Bermudez in a musical blender with Snoop Dogg, Gorillaz and Instituto Mexicano del Sonido. We got tired of easy and canned music, and that’s how our ‘Cumbia Brava’ was born. The single “Danza Negra” is now available on Spotify for listeners to enjoy this exciting fusion of genres.
