LETON PÉ
Leticia Pellicione, better known as Letón Pé, is a multifaceted Dominican singer-songwriter and actress, based in Santo Domingo, DR.
From an early age, Latvian developed a passion for music and the performing arts, writing songs and performing in musical theater shows that led her to turn her talent into an artistic profession, highlighted by her studies at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres such as R&B, Indie, Blues, Electronic and Afro-Latin rhythms, Latvian has tirelessly experimented until she found the authentic musical style that identifies her today.
In 2022, Letón released his first EP, titled La Caleta, while making his debut on international stages with his participation in music festivals held in Spain, Mexico and the United States, where he stood out and received great critical acclaim, helping him establish himself as a rising star in the Latin pop scene.
Continuing his upward trajectory, in 2023 he released his most recent EP, Rojo Rubí, a 5-song collection of tropical rhythms heavily influenced by merengue, merenhouse, reggaeton and Latin pop. With this production, she once again demonstrates her versatility and musical mastery, and has been named one of VARIETY magazine’s top 8 rising Latin indie artists.
In addition to Rojo Rubí, Letón collaborated on Eduardo Cabra’s single “”Lloripari””, part of the album ‘Martinez’, which was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. Further amplifying what was a great year, he had his debut concert in Los Angeles, followed by concerts in New York and Miami, and ending with stellar performances at the Corona Sunsets festivals in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.
Important media such as the digital magazine REMEZCLA have named Letón Pé as the next great diva of Dominican Pop, while the renowned magazine ROLLING STONE has named her among its TOP 10 Latin Artists that will break the mold in 2023, parallel to her first nomination to the Premios Soberanos (DR) as Best Alternative Music Artist.
Letón Pé’s music is characterized by his charming vocals, synergizing with Latin rhythms combined with indie/electronic elements, and his amusing lyrics that relate themes of love, disenchantment, and the search for what lies in the soul, always with a touch of mischief and good humor.
Not only does she stand out for her artistry, Latvian is known for her unique way of captivating audiences with her natural warmth, her enthusiasm for dance, and her unparalleled stage presence.
