A lawyer by (mis)education, over 10 years ago they decided to focus entirely on their passion: music. They founded a cultural association called «LaRubiaProducciones», which evolved into a record label built around the DIY philosophy of “do it yourself”. To date, the label has co-released nearly 40 records, including releases by Bones of Minerva, Mauda the Moth, Veracrvz, Cruzeiro, Murina, Sangre de Muérdago, healthyliving and Anyx.
Their relationship with bands has grown over the years, and they are always ready to lend a hand wherever needed: advice on record deals, intellectual property, booking, sync licensing, those damn algorithms... Alongside the bands, the collective has digivolved into a network called RUBIHAUS, supporting the creative and performance processes of the musicians who are part of it.
In a fluid, individualistic and fleeting world, they have chosen to belong to a community that supports and amplifies strong, diverse projects, both in their conception and on stage. Projects with real cultural value that offer more than entertainment or background music: they move us, connect us, unsettle us and draw us in.
They now also teach at Microfusa's Music Production School and manage FORMA, Spain's brand-new association of music managers and a member of EMMA.
“We can be heroes, just for one day.”
