What is BIME?

BIME is an international Music Industry event that has been held since 2013 in Bilbao (Basque Country) and, since 2022, also in Bogotá (Colombia). In this way, it expands its space to reflect on the challenges that drive the future of the sector and the enjoyment of live music in Latin America.

BIME strengthens its commitment to establishing alternative routes in the music industry that facilitate and multiply artistic and professional flows between Latin America and Europe, generating opportunities for economic, cultural, and relational growth for artists, professionals, companies, and audiences directly or indirectly linked to music. All of this is supported, of course, by the linguistic bond of a language spoken by nearly 600 million people.

In addition, BIME extends beyond the in-person event thanks to its DIGITAL PLATFORM, which is active 365 days a year.

BIME is live music, industry, trends, and innovation. An experience where synergies can be created between continents, doing business, discovering the most promising emerging talents, sharing knowledge, and uncovering the latest developments in the Cultural and Creative Industries.

BIME LIVE brings live music to the heart of the city for 4 days. The best concerts will tour the main venues and stages with free access programming, where you can discover the talents of the future and the most avant-garde proposals of the moment. The showcases are the perfect space where the most promising emerging artists present their talent to festival programmers, managers, journalists, and other industry professionals, and excite the audience. A total of 65 concerts featuring artists from various countries and territories, offering a wide range of musical styles, including flamenco, pop, rap, trap, reggaeton, indie, reggae, alternative, R&B, folklore, hardcore, hyperpop, and electronic music. The programming is completed with screenings of music documentaries. BIME LIVE thus seeks to bring its programming closer to both the professional audience attending the music congress and the general public, democratizing access to culture and becoming a celebration of music that promotes new artistic talent.

The professional BIME congress was born in 2013 with a forward-looking vision for music, reaching out to America. Today, it is a meeting place for professionals of all profiles from over 50 countries and all areas of music and other cultural and creative industries. A space to connect continents, do business, share knowledge, and discover the latest innovations directly or indirectly related to music. In 2020, BIME PRO saw the opportunity to evolve into a hybrid format, which helped it grow both nationally and internationally and has become a staple for its upcoming editions. The program includes a series of talks and conferences with professionals from all areas of the creative industries, and is supported by various special activities.
