At a time when everyone is trying to be different, it is Jimena Amarillo’s natural way of standing out that has made her one of the most distinctive and beloved voices in Spanish pop. This evolution reaches a new dimension with ANGÉLIKA (2025), her third album and her freest, most expansive project to date. Recorded largely alongside Marin Zannad at Studios Entreprise in Paris, the album unfolds a more electronic, playful and daring aesthetic, and marks the first time Jimena has incorporated vocal collaborations, featuring suai suave, Ouineta and Queralt Lahoz. On this record, Jimena experiments with identities, aesthetics and a narrative that embraces queerness, performance and emotion in a carefree and deeply personal way.
