    Diálogos: AJ Ramos

    Komunikatu

In this episode of Diálogos, AJ Ramos, Head of Artist Partnerships at Google and YouTube, shares with Rolo Alarcón his reflections on BIME Bogotá. Through five key takeaways, he talks about the importance of human connection, the excitement of meeting peers from across Ibero-America, and the impact of inspiring the next generation of music professionals. AJ delivers a powerful message: real success comes from authenticity. Knowing your purpose, investing in your mental health, and understanding the business are essential to building a sustainable career. He also reminds us that not every path leads to massive stardom — and that’s okay. With a strong community and genuine creativity, you can still live from your art. This conversation is a reminder that music is not just about talent or visibility, but also about purpose, connection, and self-awareness. In a fast-changing industry, voices like AJ Ramos’ encourage us to imagine new ways of succeeding — grounded in community and fueled by shared values

    Edoardo Chavarín en BIME Bogotá

    Music industry services

    Komunikatu

    Komunikatu

Podcasting has emerged as one of the most versatile and powerful tools for 21st-century artists. Sebastián Payán invites us to rethink this format beyond entertainment, unveiling its potential as an intimate, narrative-driven space that’s deeply in tune with today’s cultural consumption habits. Through his lens, we explore how podcasting is transforming the way music is shared, distributed, and experienced. This episode dives into the podcast’s role as a bridge between sound and visual culture, the personal and the professional. Unlike traditional media, podcasts allow artists to tell their own stories — unfiltered and on their own terms — fostering deeper and more meaningful connections with their audiences. Formats like Tiny Desk and A Colors Sessions show us that it’s possible to slow down music consumption and offer immersive, emotional experiences within digital ecosystems. Despite the ongoing challenges around monetization and visibility, the podcast continues to grow as an accessible, creative medium for artists eager to explore new languages, deepen their artistic identity, and share unique narratives. This conversation opens a window into the future of musical content — one where the lines between creation, communication, and technology are increasingly fluid and full of possibility.

    Diálogos: Little Spain

    Komunikatu

    Creation and musical performance

    Komunikatu

What makes an artist brand truly unforgettable? For Bee Ramesh (Eboshi), member of rap duo Cartel Madras and Marketing Manager at Birthday Cake Records, it’s all about balancing authenticity, visual storytelling, and community connection. With experience touring internationally, securing sync deals on platforms like Netflix and Hulu, and producing cross-disciplinary content through FOREIGNERZ Media, Bee offers a creative and strategic perspective on building a strong, cohesive artist identity in today’s global landscape. But beyond branding, this episode dives into how community serves as the foundation for long-term artistic growth. Bee emphasizes the value of establishing a solid local presence before going global, and how shared values —like gender identity, sexuality, or common musical influences— can foster meaningful emotional bonds with diverse audiences. In an oversaturated digital world, genuine human connection becomes a deeply impactful strategy. This conversation goes beyond strategy — it invites us to rethink how we relate to the world around us when building a music career. In an industry where visibility often feels like everything, Bee reminds us that staying grounded in our values and nurturing human connection can be the keys to long-term, meaningful success. At BIME, we foster these kinds of spaces where shared experience and peer learning become powerful tools for reshaping the music industry from within.

Conversations: Cynthia Flores, Albina Cabrera e Itzel González

    Recorded music

    Music industry services

    Komunikatu

What began as a casual conversation at BIME 2021 turned into one of the most inspiring collaborations in the Latin alternative music industry. Cynthia Flores, Albina Cabrera, and Itzel González are three professionals with complementary paths who decided to join forces to build new platforms, elevate emerging voices, and promote a more inclusive and diverse ecosystem. From their respective fields —communication, curation, and production— they are driving projects that cross borders and amplify the musical identity of the Global South. This episode highlights the power of community as a force for transformation within the music industry. The collaboration between these leaders shows how genuine connections, rooted in active listening and mutual respect, can lead to initiatives with real and lasting impact. Through efforts like Sonido Live México and their work with Vive Latino, independent artists have found ways to reach global audiences, access new markets, and build networks that strengthen cultural ties between Latin America and Spain. The story of Cynthia, Albina, and Itzel shows how sustained collaboration between professionals can spark deep changes in the way we discover, share, and value music. This conversation invites us to see alliances not just as programming strategies, but as tools to build a more connected, supportive, and committed industry for emerging talent.

    Komunikatu

In the 1990s, before the social media boom, there was a way for artists to “go viral”: appear in a TV commercial. With the passage of time, the transformation of media and media consumption, coupled with an unbridled pace and access to information, artists have new formats to reach a milestone of exposure in their career. From Seattle broadcaster KEXP's Live on KEXP electric sessions, to npr's Tiny Desk, to in-house documentaries, every artist can now tell their story.
