Aupa is a word with a double meaning: on the one hand, it is a conjugation of the verb aupar (to lift, to uplift) and, on the other, an interjection used to express something extraordinary or worthy of care. This idea gave rise to the AUPA! recognitions, awarded by a jury of expert professionals in a participatory and independent way to people, companies and projects within the music industry that have made a notable contribution to the collective advancement of the sector.
These recognitions aim to highlight and celebrate creative, bold, daring or altruistic work that inspires others and serves as an example to follow. The goal is to create a representative event that, from a place of admiration and respect, publicly celebrates the contribution of different agents to the growth of the music industry, always guided by principles of ethics, sustainability and a gender perspective.
