✷ What is Soundcheck Soundcheck is the participatory section of Music & Brands at BIME: an opportunity to present your music project to brands, agencies and relevant industry players who can help bring it to life. Four finalist projects will present live at BIME on 27 October, with a 5-minute pitch followed by 10 minutes of jury feedback — and the winner will receive a prize designed to open real doors. ✷ What we are looking for (and what we are not) We are looking for:- Music projects, platforms and formats with potential for brand collaborations: content or live formats, communities and scenes, technology applied to live music, cultural projects with their own audience.- In short: projects that a brand can make its own. We are not looking for:- Demos or artist projects looking for a label or management.- Projects with no potential for brand collaboration.- Ideas with no degree of development. ✷ Participation requirements - Minimum level of maturity (mandatory): your project must demonstrate at least one completed pilot, a previous edition, or a committed team and artists. Provide links or materials that demonstrate this.- Identified team, with at least one person responsible for the project.- Legal age and legal capacity to represent the project.- Languages: applications and presentations may be made in Spanish or English. ✷ How to participate Complete the application form* before 5 October at 23:59 (CET). Application form Required materials- Presentation video: maximum 2 minutes.- Deck: maximum 8 slides with the following sections: 1) cover 2) opportunity 3) the project 4) audience 5) brand fit 6) traction and results 7) team 8) needs.- Applications that exceed the limits or do not include the required materials will not be evaluated. *All projects are submitted using the same form and the same materials to ensure a fair evaluation process. ✷ Timeline Call opens 9 September Call closes 30 September, 23:59 (CET) Project evaluation 1–9 October Finalists announced 15 October Presentation at BIME (5' pitch + 10' feedback) 27 October ✷ How we evaluate The organisation first verifies that each application meets the requirements. The jury then evaluates eligible applications by scoring each criterion from 1 to 5; the final score is the weighted average. We publish the descriptors so you know exactly what we value: Criterion Weight What a 2 means What a 5 means Quality and clarity of the idea 30% It takes effort to understand; the proposal is generic or confusing. It is immediately clear; the proposal is unique and well defined. Cultural potential and conversation 25% Limited interest within its own circle; unlikely to generate conversation. Connects with a real scene or trend; it is easy to imagine people talking about it. Brand fit and collaboration potential 20% It is unclear what a brand would do here. Specific brands and clear ways of collaborating can be identified. Execution capacity 15% Team or plan is not very credible; no evidence. Strong team and evidence that they have already done it or can deliver it. Narrative and presentation 10% Materials are confusing or incomplete. Materials are clear, engaging and within the limits. ✷ The prize The winning project receives a package designed to open real doors:- Fast-track with brands: three guaranteed working meetings with brands from the jury. The four finalists will also receive direct feedback from the jury and visibility across BIME's channels. ✷ Terms and conditions - Intellectual property rights in the projects remain with their authors at all times.- Submitted materials will be used exclusively for evaluation and treated confidentially by the organisation and the jury.- BIME may publicly announce the names and a brief description of the finalist projects.- The jury's decisions are final and cannot be appealed.- The organisation may resolve any circumstances not covered by these terms and conditions and adjust the timeline for justified reasons.- Participation implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. ✷ Questions and contact For any questions about the call, write to pro@bime.org

From October 28 to 31, different venues and spaces across the city will host concerts and showcases – performances in a smaller format – allowing industry professionals , BIME attendees and the general public to discover music acts that are already shaping the next generation of international festivals and tours.   Over 70 artists will be featured in this event that combines projection, discovery, and musical diversity, connecting from all directions to build a great sonic territory that links Ibero-America. Among them is Arroba Nat (MX), with songs that explore the innermost human experience; Delaporte (ES); one of the most innovative projects in Spain’s electronic and alternative pop scene; Esteban Rojas (CO), leader of Cali’s urban movement; Chilean Javiera Electra (CL) with her powerful voice and theatrical stage presence; Jesse Baez (GT), recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish-language R&B; and Argentine Juana Rozas (AR), whose sound moves between pop, R&B, and electronic experimentation.  From Argentina also comes Lara91K (AR), a pioneer in the urban scene with an intimate and raw style; the Venezuelan duo Mau y Ricky (VE), whose creative force has produced some of the past decade’s biggest global hits; and the legendary band Orishas (CU), worldwide reference in Latin rap and pioneers in fusing Cuban son with hip hop. Catalan Queralt Lahoz (ES) brings her unmistakable blend of soul, hip hop, and flamenco; from Extremadura, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana (ES) narrate contemporary rural life through rock and autotune; the dark, ironic proposition of SVSTO (ES), which redefines dance music by fusing industrial and techno; from Bilbao, Txopet (ES), with a fresh, irreverent act mixing pop rock, garage, and punk in a high-energy show, and Argentine composer Yami Safdie (AR), one of the leading figures in Argentine pop and urban music today.  The future of music within everyone’s reach  Beyond being a benchmark event for the music industry, BIME Live has solidified itself as a city festival for all, democratizing access to music and culture right in the heart of Bilbao. Held in venues and spaces that keep Bilbao’s music calendar alive all year round, BIME is committed to strengthening the role of these places as key cultural agents in the city.   Established as the main showcase for emerging international talent and for new sonic and aesthetic trends, BIME Live is already the radar of the new Ibero-American music scene. A city festival for everyone, inviting you to explore fresh sounds, discover new stories, and experience the excitement of up-and-coming music. BIME Live still has open calls for bands and solo artists who want to join the 2025 line-up. You can check the terms and conditions for this and other calls at bime.org.  BIME Live is supported by the Bilbao City Council and Cervezas San Miguel, as well as collaborators such as Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government, INAEM (National Institute of Performing Arts and Music), ICEX-Sounds from Spain, Navarra Music Commission, BASQUE.MUSIC., Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones Culturales, Chile (through MinCAP, ProChile and Chilemúsica), ICA of the Region of Murcia, Thomann, Catalan Arts, AIE (Society of Performing Artists of Spain), Argentina (through the National Institute of Music of Argentina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina), Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics, Junta de Extremadura, Ministry of Arts, Cultures, and Knowledge of Colombia, District Institute of the Arts of Bogotá, Seitrack, Walter Kolm Records, and Mondo Sonoro.  BIME Pro, building the future of Ibero-American music  The professional agenda of BIME, BIME Pro, will bring together international leaders and key music figures from October 28 to 30 at the Euskalduna Bilbao to map out the next chapter for the industry. The program will address key questions of the present and future challenges, learn from the experience of the best, explore new opportunities, and track emerging markets that command global attention, always aiming to strengthen the connection between Europe and the Americas.   In addition to already announced key figures such as Rubén Blades, Mau y Ricky, Leire Martínez, and Mon Laferte, others have now joined, including Ignacio Meyer, president of TelevisaUnivisión, considered one of the most influential people in Spanish-language cinema, television, and music, who will be at BIME to discuss the new map of Latin music and its evolution amid changes in consumption, industry, and live experiences.  This year, BIME will also feature a creative space; a laboratory for artists and their teams with practical tools to strengthen their careers and trajectories. The programming will include a songwriting campus to experiment and create in community, production workshops, and conversations on mental health. There will also be intimate meetings with artists, designed to share first-hand experiences and open dialogue about today's music challenges and opportunities. An initiative that reinforces BIME's commitment to fostering professional growth from a holistic perspective.   ABOUT BIME  With annual editions in Bilbao and Bogotá, BIME has established itself as the great internationalization bridge between Europe and the Americas, and as one of the most relevant platforms for music in Ibero-America. Its programming, built from and for the industry, positions it as the fourth most important event in the sector worldwide and as an active network connecting scenes, territories, professionals and creative communities on both sides of the Atlantic. But BIME is much more than a professional meeting: it is a space for strategic reflection, a collective compass, and a radar to detect what is coming next. In a world where music no longer revolves around a single center but expands across multiple realities, BIME is the essential place to understand new dynamics, connect with leaders, and be part of the evolution of the global music ecosystem.    Find more information about BIME at www.bime.org and by following us on our digital channels:  Instagram Linkedin TikTok  Contact  Leire Goienetxea -  leire@bime.org
