closeSedientos de Cumbia; thirsting for cumbia, dancing, sweat and sarcasm.
Sedientos de Cumbia was born in Iruña (Pamplona) in early 2024, when a diverse group of musicians came together around a shared passion: Argentine cumbia villera. Drawing inspiration from acts such as Damas Gratis and Supermerk2, the band has developed its own sound, blending cumbia, shrill synths, Latin hooks, humour and local references.
In just one year, Sedientos de Cumbia played 48 shows across the region, performing at jaigunes, local festivals and events such as BIME (Bilbao) and Som Valencia. Their live show — increasingly in demand on the party circuit — quickly established itself as synonymous with dancing, sweat and collective celebration.
After releasing several singles, including “Quilombo” — one of the most-played tracks locally last summer — the band now presents its debut LP, recorded between Lizarra (Estella) and Iruña (Pamplona), produced by Tarima Kendu and Iban D’Urruti (Raimundo el Canastero). Eleven songs designed for the stage capture the band’s nocturnal spirit: stories of wild nights out, sharp humour and a constant invitation to move. Listen here.
In 2026, Sedientos de Cumbia will take their new album to venues, festivals and jaigunes with one clear goal: to turn every concert into a dance ritual that’s hard to leave without breaking a sweat.
