Born in the depths of Montseny in the bewildering year of 2020, Remei de Ca la Fresca have quickly emerged as one of the most restless, unclassifiable, and defiant bands in our music scene. Never hidden, always upfront, they now present their long-awaited second album, “L’ham de la pregunta”, produced by Ildefons Alonso (El Petit de Cal Eril) and Artur Piera. We already knew they wanted to take over your chalet. Or maybe that was only the first step. Because the demands of Remei de Ca la Fresca go further and cover everything. With a wild discourse, both sharp and poetic, they defy every stylistic boundary and fire relentlessly. They laugh at what people might say, avoid every euphemism, question official narratives, and point fingers at those profiting. They hold a mirror up to us. Remei de Ca la Fresca are Artur Piera, Xantal Rodríguez, Víctor Inskipp, and Iago Rueda. The quartet from Arbúcies made their name by winning the Erra Forta contest, armed with castanets and an ironing board, and later released their self-titled debut album (2021) under the Indian Runners label, which was enthusiastically received and led them to tour extensively throughout the country.
