FADES are Ferran, Vicenç, and Àngel — a trio of Catalan philologists who have become the queer band to watch in Catalonia. You might know them from their debut album METALLIX, from Mon Cheri Go Home, their collaboration with Samantha Hudson, or Catalonian Girls, their Mediterranean spin on Katy Perry’s Californian Gurls.
After two albums, countless singles, and some headline collaborations, they’ve just released METALLIX: Afterparty — a deluxe version of their latest work featuring remixes of their most iconic tracks, plus new collaborations with Samantha Hudson, SVSTO, and Papa Topo, along with some previously unreleased material.
In just a few months, they’ve gone from performing a handful of gigs with one mic, a borrowed sound card, mini skirts, and a dream — to embarking on a 40-date tour, with a brand-new live show and even better outfits (if that’s possible).
