Confederación de Juventudes Musicales de España

The Confederation of Musical Youth of Spain (JM España) is one of the most prominent cultural networks in the country, bringing together over 100 local associations and regional federations across Spain. The Musical Youth movement was founded in 1940 in Brussels, in the midst of World War II, as a response to the demoralization of European youth. Its initial purpose was to serve as an instrument of peace and understanding, using music to foster fraternity among nations in a world devastated by conflict. This ideal was recognized by UNESCO, which described Musical Youth as “the most important youth cultural organization in the world.”
