EL PITCH GLOBAL is an open call by BIME to discover and give visibility to projects, ideas and proposals that have something to contribute to the present and future of music and the music industry.
We are looking for artistic proposals, cultural initiatives, platforms, tools, services, new business models and projects of any kind connected to the music ecosystem.
The category your project fits into is not as important as having a clear, relevant proposal with the potential to generate new opportunities, connections or ways of doing things.
Selected projects will have the opportunity to present their proposal as part of the professional programme of BIME Bilbao 2026, in front of professionals from different areas of the music industry.
The open call is open to individuals, teams, companies, organisations, collectives and entities from anywhere that are developing a project related to music or its ecosystem.
Both projects already underway and proposals in the development stage may apply, provided they have a sufficiently defined approach to be presented and evaluated.
EL PITCH GLOBAL aims to reflect the diversity of the music industry, so the open call is open, among others, to:
- Artistic projects and proposals.
- Cultural initiatives.
- Platforms and tools.
- Services for artists, professionals or companies.
- New business models.
- Projects related to technology and innovation.
- Proposals connected to live music, creation, production, distribution, communication or rights.
- Projects that connect music with other sectors or disciplines.
- Initiatives with social, cultural or territorial impact.
- Any other proposal that can bring new ideas, solutions or opportunities to the music ecosystem.
Applications may be submitted from 9 to 27 September 2026, inclusive, through the form provided by BIME.
Each application must provide the information requested in the form and clearly explain the project, its value proposition, its current stage and what it aims to achieve through its participation in ALTAVOZ.
Submitting an application implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Once the application period has ended, the BIME team will evaluate the applications received and select the projects that will participate in EL PITCH GLOBAL.
The selection will take particular account of:
- The clarity and strength of the proposal.
- Its interest and relevance to the music ecosystem.
- Its distinctive, innovative or unique nature.
- Its potential for development and growth.
- The project's ability to generate impact, connections or opportunities.
- The suitability of the proposal for BIME's professional and international context.
The selection will also seek to represent a diversity of profiles, territories, disciplines and ways of understanding and transforming music and its industry.
The organisation will contact the selected projects directly.
Selected projects will take part in two pitch sessions taking place during BIME Bilbao 2026, on 27 and 28 October, as part of the event's professional programme.
Each project will have:
5 minutes to present their proposal to the professionals attending BIME, followed by a brief space for questions and feedback.
The aim is to offer an agile and direct presentation that makes it possible to understand what each project proposes, what makes it relevant and what it needs to move forward.
The person responsible for delivering the pitch must be able to travel to Bilbao and be available to attend in person on the date and at the time assigned by the organisation.
Being selected to participate in EL PITCH GLOBAL does not include an accreditation or pass for BIME Bilbao, which must be purchased by each participant in order to access the event.
Participation in EL PITCH GLOBAL offers the opportunity to give visibility to the project and present it to professionals, companies and stakeholders from the music ecosystem gathered at BIME, but does not imply any commitment to invest, hire, fund or collaborate on the part of BIME or the attending professionals.
Selected projects undertake to:
- Confirm their participation within the deadline indicated by BIME.
- Provide the materials and information requested by the organisation.
- Appoint a person responsible for delivering the pitch.
- Prepare a presentation that fits within the established maximum time.
- Be available to attend in person during their assigned session.
If they are unable to participate, they must notify the organisation as soon as possible.
Selected projects authorise BIME to use the project name, logo, images and information provided in the application for the communication and promotion of EL PITCH GLOBAL and BIME Bilbao 2026.
Participation may be photographed, recorded or shared through BIME's communication channels.
Participation in the open call is free of charge.
BIME reserves the right to resolve any circumstances not covered by these terms and conditions, as well as to introduce organisational changes when necessary for the proper running of the open call and the pitch sessions.
Submitting an application to EL PITCH GLOBAL implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
