From the Atlantic island of Lanzarote, Carlos Romero is the founder and director of Malpaís Records, a comprehensive project that operates simultaneously as a record label, production company, and management and booking agency. Although its main focus is on supporting and promoting musical talent from the Canary Islands, its approach is always open to collaborating with artists from around the world.
As an active cultural agent in his region, he regularly collaborates with various art spaces, public institutions and festivals, both in Lanzarote and across the Canary Islands. Currently, through Malpaís Records, he supports and develops the careers of a diverse selection of artists, working with projects such as Fajardo, Pleito, M. Oznari, Dyatlov, Clavelitos, Drûpe, Inadaptados, YA NO TE QUIERO and Los Iguales.
