BIME BILBAO 2025 UNVEILS THE PROGRAM FOR ITS MOST AMBITIOUS EDITION YET

    Press

BIME will take place in Bilbao from October 28 to 31, and will close its thirteenth edition with a major open-air event on the 31st featuring performances by Villano Antillano (PR), Delaporte (ES), Silitia (ES), Flaca (AR/ES), and Ruptura (ES). An open event that is part of the BIME Live programming, supported by the Bilbao City Council and Cervezas San Miguel.     BIME Pro adds new names to its professional program at Euskalduna Bilbao, featuring key figures and agents from the music and cultural industries: the European Commission, Live Nation, Billboard, Virgin Music, HISPA, Radio 3, The Orchard, Emerge, DAZN, Marvel Studios, PlayStation, LALIGA, TicketSwap, and Carrillo Asesores, among others.    BIME will open its professional program to the general public with two free-entry activities: a conversation with Fito Cabrales, and the Spanish premiere of the documentary OMARA: Cuba's Legendary Diva.    Bilbao, October 7, 2025. BIME, the leading gathering of the Ibero-American music industry, which is already considered the fourth most important international event in the sector, has revealed the latest details of its Pro and Live programs for its next event in Bilbao, to be held from October 28 to 31, promising a very special thirteenth edition.   BIME Live, the festival of BIME showcases and concerts, already established as the main platform for musical talent with international projection, will once again transform the city into a major circuit of live music stages. From October 28 to 30, venues such as Kafe Antzokia, Crystal, Stage Live, Back Room, Dock, Bilborock, La Ribera, Sala BBK, and Cotton Club will host over seventy showcases—short concerts designed for artists to present the best of their repertoire. Accredited professionals and the general public can attend freely (capacity permitting, with preference given to those accredited for BIME Pro) and discover the most cutting-edge musical offerings of the moment. New names added to the lineup, previously announced last September, include Cariño (ES), the Madrid trio shaking up Spanish pop with their freshness, boldness, and punk spirit; dembow and Latin American rhythms with lyrics full of real life from Mhtresuno (AR), the singer, songwriter and one of the new leading figures of Latin afrobeat Junior Zamora (CO); Laaza (ES), bringing a unique mix of alternative pop, jota, and minimalist electronic; and the warm voice and soul, flamenco, and melodic rap influences of Mallorcan artist Dollar Selmouni (ES).  BIME Live will also feature special events where major companies and institutions from the music industry will present the best of their talent. On Tuesday the 28th it will be the turn of AIE (the Spanish Society of Artists, Performers and Musicians) in Sala BBK, Universal Music at Stage Live, ICEX-Sounds from Spain at Crystal, and the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge of Colombia at La Ribera. On Wednesday the 29th, BIME Live will host the Mondo Sonoro Demoscopic, a special edition in collaboration with BIME and with the support of Johnnie Walker, bringing to the Kafe Antzokia stage up-and-coming bands like La Milagrosa (ES), airu (ES), and a surprise group to be announced in the days leading up to the event. That same night, musical acts from Thomann at Bilborock, Interscope at Crystal, Emerge at La Ribera, and BASQUE. MUSIC. at Stage Live, while on Thursday the 30th, it will be the turn for Altafonte at Crystal.  Along with all these agents, BIME Live is supported by the Bilbao City Council and Cervezas San Miguel, as well as many other organizations such as the Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government, INAEM (National Institute of Performing Arts and Music), Navarra Music Commission, Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, Chile (through MinCAP, ProChile and Chilemúsica), ICA of the Region of Murcia, Catalan Arts, Argentina (through the National Institute of Music of Argentina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina), Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, Junta de Extremadura, District Institute of the Arts of Bogotá, Cali Secretary of Economic Development, Seitrack, and Walter Kolm Records.    BIME WILL CLOSE ITS THIRTEENTH EDITION WITH A LARGE OPEN-AIR STAGE  BIME Live doesn’t end there. Live music will also take place on Friday, October 31, with two very special stages: the San Miguel Stage and the San Miguel On Air Stage, located on Paseo de Uribitarte next to Bilbao City Hall. Top national and international artists will perform, including Villano Antillano (PR), one of the most powerful voices of the new Latin urban movement and a standard-bearer for diversity and creative freedom; Delaporte (ES), a Madrid duo fusing electronic and pop with a unique live act that has made them one of the most solid acts in the Spanish scene; Silitia (ES), a breakout alternative pop act from the Basque Country with a fresh and contemporary style; Flaca (ES/AR), an Argentine DJ and producer known for her versatility in underground electronic and reggaeton, returning to the scene after a two-year hiatus; and Ruptura (ES), a collective exploring new forms of percussion and global rhythms with an innovative and groundbreaking approach.   BIME Live thus establishes itself as a citywide festival for everyone, democratizing access to music and culture in the heart of Bilbao. Held in venues and places that keep the musical agenda of Bilbao alive throughout the year, BIME strives to strengthen the work of these spaces as key cultural agents of the city. A festival that invites you to explore fresh sounds, discover new stories, and experience the thrill of both the up-and-coming and the chart-topping music. Additionally, together with the Music For All Foundation, BIME promotes a more inclusive music industry by implementing accessibility measures at its events: there will be sign language interpretation in some venues and a showcase of vibratory vests with magnetic loop devices, so people with hearing impairments can enjoy the experience.      BIME PRO. THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY TO BE DISCUSSED AT EUSKALDUNA BILBAO  In parallel, the professional agenda of BIME Pro will bring together more than 4,500 international attendees from October 28 to 30 at Euskalduna Bilbao for a program focused on discussing the present and future of the music industry, exploring new opportunities and tracking emerging markets. All of this, with the aim of strengthening connections and exchanges between Europe and America. In addition to previously announced key figures, this program includes professionals such as Normunds Popens, Director General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (EAC) at the European Commission; artist Juicy BAE; Leila Cobo, Executive Director at Billboard; Ana Gómez de Castro, Director of PR and CSR at Live Nation; Héctor de Miguel, Director and host of Hora Veintipico at Cadena SER;  Antonio Casado, Senior Marketing Executive – Acquisitions at DAZN; Álvaro Alfonso, Head of National Media Business at LALIGA; Marisa Moya, Director at Emerge; Marina Sans, Digital Marketing & Video Services Director, Iberia at The Orchard; musician and writer Marwán; Pablo Gil, journalist at El Mundo; Julio Leiva, Director at HISPA; and Tinet Rovira; General Director of Gestmusic Banijay.    On October 29, BIME Pro will also feature two activities open to the public at Euskalduna Bilbao. On the one hand, a conversation with Fito Cabrales where the Bilbao musician will share experiences, anecdotes, and reflections on his career, just days after releasing his new album, El monte de los aullidos. On the other hand, the Spanish premiere of the documentary OMARA: Cuba’s Legendary Diva, which will offer an intimate look at the life of Omara Portuondo, a living legend of Cuban music, and will conclude with a discussion with its director, Hugo Pérez; the piece's music supervisor, Jonathan Finegold;  and Omara Portuondo herself, who will join the talk online. All those interested in attending these activities will find more information at the following links:   Conversation with Fito: https://bimeforms.typeform.com/to/iW2IloUu    Documentary: OMARA: Cuba’s Legendary Diva: https://bimeforms.typeform.com/to/e7FnQyiF   This year, BIME Pro is also expanding its program with the MUSIK&PINTXOS space, a meeting point aimed at enhancing the experience for accredited attendees, who can enjoy a curated selection of showcases on the Johnnie Walker stage alongside local gastronomy at Euskalduna Bilbao. The space will be open October 28 and 29 at midday and afternoon, making it the perfect place for a break in a relaxed atmosphere.   As a closing highlight, on October 30 BIME will host the awards ceremony of the second edition of the AUPA! recognition awards, which aim to not only applaud, but also highlight and value creative, daring, brave or altruistic contributions to the music industry. In 2024, key names and projects were recognized, such as Rosa Lagarrigue (Lifetime Achievement), Sílvia Pérez Cruz (Artist), Industrial Copera (Live music venue), Vic (Music Territory), and Music For All (Project of the Year). The award ceremony will take place at 12:15 p.m. at Euskalduna Bilbao, closing the BIME professional programming.  ABOUT BIME  With annual editions in Bilbao and Bogotá, BIME has become a key bridge for internationalization between Europe and the Americas, as well as one of the leading platforms for music in Ibero-America. Its industry-driven programming positions it as the fourth most important event of its kind worldwide, and as a dynamic network that connects scenes, territories, professionals, and creative communities on both sides of the Atlantic. But BIME is more than just a professional gathering: it is a space for strategic reflection, a collective compass, and a radar for the future. In today’s world, where music no longer revolves around a single center but expands across multiple realities, BIME stands out as the essential meeting point to understand emerging dynamics, connect with leaders, and play an active role in shaping the global music ecosystem.  Find all the information about BIME at www.bime.org and by following us on our digital channels:  Instagram Linkedin TikTok  Contact  Leire Goienetxea -  leire@bime.org  PRESSKIT
