Rebeca León

Rebeca León is the CEO and Founder of Lionfish Entertainment and Lionfish Studios, an artist management company and film and TV studio. León has been instrumental in engineering cultural shifts in the paradigm of Latin music.

On the management side, Lionfish currently manages Brazilian superstar Anitta, the incredible Venezuelan singer songwriter Danny Ocean, Spanish rising star st. Pedro, La Cruz, a pioneering LGBTQ reggaeton artist from Venezuela. In addition, in partnership with Pharrell Williams, they have created a bi-cultural US Latin boy band who is set to debut this fall. In the past Rebeca oversaw the rise of Rosalía and J Balvin as well as managed Juanes for 10 years, all superstars in their own right.

León established Lionfish Studios in 2019, a film and TV production studio focused on creating content that draws from her music industry experience, as well as her Cuban heritage and Miami background. In 2022, Sony Music invested in her company, backing her efforts to get more female driven, bicultural, music centric stories made. She co-produced the Father of the Bride remake alongside Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B. There is a project in development with Apple and Keshet, as well as several other incredible projects.

Leon’s 25 + year career comes loaded with a vast range of experience. She spent eleven years in the touring business as Senior VP for AEG Goldenvoice. Prior to her tenure in touring, she began her career at record labels Sony Music and EMI.

León has been recognized by multiple publications, most notably as Latin Executive of the Year by Billboard in 2020. She’s been in the renowned Billboard’s Latin Power Players list 13 times, their Power Players 7 times and in 2019, she was in Rolling Stone’s Top Latin Executives list. She has been recognized in Billboard’s Women In Music issue every year since 2010. In addition she sits on the board of Global Citizen, NYU’s Clive Davis Institute, and She Is The Music. Rebeca currently resides in Miami Beach with her three dogs; Sookie, Olivia and Biggie.
