Sustainability is not just a trend; it is a responsibility that every artist must embrace throughout their career. In this workshop, we will discuss how sustainability can and should be integrated into every aspect of a musician’s professional life, from music production and concerts to public relations and fan engagement. In addition to adopting sustainable practices in their work, artists have a unique power to influence their followers and society at large.

We will also present the carbon calculator created by IMPALA, the organization that brings together independent associations across Europe, in collaboration with Julie’s Bicycle.

This calculator aims to be a key tool for measuring and managing the environmental impact of tours, concerts, and recordings. It enables the independent sector to measure its carbon footprint and identify critical points to ensure that IMPALA members’ ambitions are viable, impactful, and scalable.

Furthermore, we will explore how musicians can be agents of change, using their platform to raise public awareness about the importance of sustainability and promote it within society.
