ALVARO DE LUNA, is a Marketing and Advertising professional, graduated from CESMA Business School in Spain, where he also obtained a master’s degree in Strategic Communication.
With more than 20 years of experience working with multinational companies in Latin America and Europe, he has been with AB-Inbev for more than 15 years, starting as manager and director of several Bavaria brands. He then became Head of Global Brands and Craft Business for Colombia before moving to Peru as Vice President of Marketing for Backus AB-Inbev.
Since 2022, he is the Vice President of Marketing of Bavaria Colombia, leading the entire brand portfolio, innovation, DTC and experience business of the company, the leading beverage company in Colombia and AB-Inbev’s number 4 operation globally.
Bavaria’s Marketing team has been recognized by AB-Inbev two years in a row as the best team in the world for creativity and efficiency. Effies has named them Advertisers of the Year for 6 consecutive years, and is the most outstanding Colombian company in the last 3 years by the Cannes International Festival.
In the past, he has worked for several years in the media, the aviation sector with Avianca, and the tobacco industry with Japan Tobacco International and Camel in Spain.
